The Ram ST tacks on 17" steel wheels, a 40/20/40 split front bench seat, vinyl upholstery, an electronic vehicle information display, air conditioning, a tilt steering wheel and a 6 speaker stereo with a CD player and auxiliary audio jack. The Crew Cab ST offers standard power windows and door locks. Regular Cabs have manual controls.

The 2500 SLT adds chrome clad wheels, chrome exterior trim, power folding/heated side mirrors, electronic trailer brake control, cloth upholstery, a sliding rear window, keyless entry, full power accessories, satellite radio and cruise control. The SLT Crew Cab and Mega Cab Rams are eligible to upgrade to the Big Horn package a.k.a the Lone Star package in Texas. This package includes foglights, a chrome grille, a leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, brighter quad headlights, a universal garage door opener and an auto-dimming rearview mirror.

For some extra oomph on the SLT, Long Island Dodge Ram 2500 customers can also opt for the Outdoorsman package. This adds diesel engine, tow hooks, polished alloy wheels, a limited slip rear differential, two tone paint, wheel flares, foglights, remote starting, a body color grille frame, auto-dimming mirrors, a 115 volt power point, an overhead console, 10-way power driver and 6-way power passenger seats with lumbar support, illuminated vanity mirrors and a leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls.

To take the Ram 2500 to the max, the Power Wagon package is available on the Crew Cab 4WD with the short bed and 5.7L V8 engine. This package includes skid plates, tow hooks, a manual transfer case, all-terrain tires, a 4.56 rear-axle ratio with electronically locking differentials, a fron antiroll bar that disconnects electronically to improve wheel articulation off-road, a power winch rated at 12,000 pounds of capacity, rooftop running lights, quad headlights, foglights and Bluetooth.

And for the refined Westbury Dodge Ram 2500 drivers, the top-of-the-line Laramie features leather seating, polished alloy wheels, auto-dimming mirrors, dual one automatic climate control, a power driver seat with memory, leather wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, power adjustable pedals, an upgraded speaker surround sound audio system with digital music storage and iPod integration, rear parking sensors and Bluetooth.

Many of the features available on the higher trims are offered as options on the lower ones and a spray-in bedliner is available for all trims. Optional features for the upper trims include front bucket seats, heated and ventilated front seats, a sunroof, a navigation system, satellite radio, remote start, a rear seat entertainment system and an upgraded stereo.

Westbury Dodge Ram 2500 drivers have their choice of rear-wheel or four-wheel drive. The 4WD in upper trim levels is electronically engaged, while mechanically engaged in the lowest trim. The 4WD option has a solid front axle and recirculating ball steering setup. The 2WD model gets an independent front suspension and rack and pinion steering.

Every 2011 Ram 2500 comes standard with a five-speed automatic transmission with a 5.7L V8 engine that powrs 383 hp and 400 lb-ft or torque. An optional 6.7L turbodiesel inline 6 is available, and produces 350 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque. A choice of six speed manual or six speed automatic trnsmission is also available, as well as exhaust brakes.

The 2011 Dodge Ram 2500 standard safety features include Antilock disc brakes (ABS) and side curtain airbags. The Laramie adds power-adjustable pedals, which are optional on the SLT.
